    About Dr. Kaplan

    Dr. Kaplan earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1975 and completed his pediatric dentistry residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center. He went on to establish a pediatric dental practice in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

    An early adopter of dental lasers, Dr. Kaplan began using laser technology in 2003 and served as a volunteer laser instructor in the post-graduate pediatric dentistry program at Tufts from 2006 to 2016. In 2015, he helped develop one of the first dedicated infant laser frenectomy training courses in the United States, attracting clinicians from around the world. A long-standing member of multiple professional organizations, he was a founding member of the American Laser Study Club and is a recipient of the Kumar Patel Award for Pediatric Laser Education.
