This was held May 4, 2019 - May 5, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN

In this dynamic lecture and hands-on course, you will be introduced to the many applications of lasers in pediatric dentistry—including removal of caries and preparation of teeth to receive restorations, laser frenectomies, endodontic and periodontal indications, as well as the use of photobiomodulation lasers.

During this fast-moving day, you will receive an overview of the theory behind lasers and the best practices regarding the use of lasers in pediatric dentistry. Real-time video of procedures will supplement the lectures. You will also participate in a hands-on workshop, using lasers to perform soft tissue surgery and remove tongue-ties. Many of the procedures will be performed on pig mandibles.

Throughout the day, you will become proficient in understanding the differences between the various wavelengths available to the pediatric dentist, selecting which wavelength is best suited for your practice and incorporating laser-assisted dental treatment into your practice.
