Redefining Surgical Standards: Mastering CO2 Laser Surgery
Join us at the 2027 Veterinary Laser Surgery Symposium (VLSS), May 14–15, 2027, in Nashville, TN, for an education-focused program designed to help veterinarians strengthen their understanding, technique, and confidence with CO2 laser surgery. Through practical lectures, case-based discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on learning opportunities, attendees will explore how CO2 laser technology can support precision, hemostasis, efficiency, and improved surgical workflows across a wide range of veterinary procedures.
Program Format Preview
- Day 1: A full day of in-depth lectures in a large classroom setting, designed to build a strong clinical foundation in CO2 laser surgery and highlight practical protocols, case selection, tissue interaction, and technique refinement.
- Day 2: Smaller-room sessions focused on Q&A, case discussion, and deeper exploration of surgical decision-making. Optional hands-on lab opportunities will allow both new and experienced users to build confidence, refine technique, and apply modern CO2 laser surgery principles in a guided setting.
Laser Surgery Demonstration Sessions
See CO2 laser procedures broken down step by step with expert commentary, helping attendees better understand surgical planning, laser settings, tissue handling, safety considerations, and technique adjustments that can improve consistency and outcomes.
Hands-On Laser Lab Sessions
Optional hands-on sessions provide a practical learning environment for veterinarians who are new to CO2 laser surgery, as well as experienced users looking to update or sharpen their approach. These guided labs emphasize foundational technique, workflow efficiency, hemostasis, and procedure planning—helping attendees translate lecture concepts into safer, more confident clinical application.
Earn Continuing Education Credits
This program will be submitted for RACE continuing education credits. For your reference, the 2026 symposium was approved for 13.25 CE hours.

The program was very well organized with incredible speakers. This is one of the best seminars I’ve attended.
I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’ve learned a lot about the physics of how a laser actually works… Some very good interactions with some very experienced faculty. It was very valuable for me.
There was a good range of presenters. I liked the fact that they were from different places around the world… A real practical variety to draw on people’s experiences. I thought it was excellent.
I look forward to implementing what I learned here. Please continue your excellent efforts to spread the word about the ALSC and its RACE approval. I look forward to seeing even more vets next year.
