American Laser Study Club – COVID-19 Update
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, with the World Health Organization declaring it a pandemic, and most recently, the United States declaring this a national emergency, we are closely monitoring the outbreak and any possible impacts on the health and safety of our staff, our members, our course attendees, and our communities. We are actively developing and implementing preparedness plans based on the best guidance available from the U.S.-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the Washington State Health Care Authority (WSHCA).
Effective immediately, we are suspending our participation in a number of the upcoming courses and lectures for March and April 2020 – more courses are under the review. We have also very significantly enhanced the social distancing of our staff who are now working from homes. We have also restricted all non-essential travel. We will adjust our response as the situation develops and will inform you of future changes as they arise in accordance with the guidance by the CDC and WSHCA. We continue to take measures to serve you in this unprecedented time.
Sincerely and with kind regards,
Peter Vitruk, PhD
